In 2013 Monsanto announced their intention to expand their Chesterfield Village Research Center. Initially working under Vision Electric installing electrical duct banks on the Parking Garage Project (under GC Tarlton), Collins & Hermann’s Civil Division has been out at the Monsanto jobsite since 2014. With the Parking Garage project wrapping up in 2015, Collins & Hermann’s Civil Division has now begun working with PayneCrest Electric on both the Site Electrical Upgrades and the Headhouse / Greenhouse projects (under GC Alberici). Our work on both projects consists of, but is not limited to, electrical infrastructure installation.

Not to be outdone, Collins & Hermann’s Commercial Fencing Division is also slated to begin work out at Monsanto in 2015 on three different projects: Monsanto Garage, Greenhouse, and Site Electrical Upgrades. We will be working as subcontractors for Tarlton Corporation, Vee Jay Cement, and Interface Construction respectively. Work on the three jobs will consist of installing aluminized chain link fence, temporary chain link fence, and guardrail.

While the base of Collins & Hermann’s work is in the Midwest (consisting of Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas City) our company has worked hard to be able to branch out into other regions of the United States. We’ve had much success in Arkansas, specifically for the Arkansas State Highway & Traffic Department. In fall 2014, Collins & Hermann was awarded a multi-million dollar job consisting of installation of a cable median barrier on selected section of 31.001 miles of Highway in Craighead, Poinsett, and Crittenden counties. Work began early in 2015 and is expected to be completed by fall 2015. Within the same letting in 2014 we were also awarded the installation of another cable median barrier, this one on 14.304 miles of highway in the county of Boone. This project began in June 2015 and is expected to be completed in July 2015. Both projects consist of grading, aggregate base course, ACHM surface course, erosion control items, wire rope safety fence, and miscellaneous items.
